Stick battles explained: how the stick battle game works

The formula, the luck, and how to choose the card that wins.

Every playground has had a stick fight. Stick League's version is gentler on the knuckles: two cards, one formula, a little luck, and a winner in seconds.

Starting a battle

  1. Open one of your kept cards and choose Battle.
  2. The app creates a six-character code and a link, such as stickleague.app/b/K3X9QZ.
  3. Send it to a friend however you like: message, group chat, story.

When they tap the link, the app opens on your challenge. If they do not have the app yet, the page sends them to the App Store and the code is waiting when they open it.

The formula

Each card's battle power is:

score + power + aura + a random number from 0 to 9

The higher total wins. On an exact tie, the challenger wins. That is all: no hidden modifiers, no pay-to-win boosts.

What the numbers mean

  • Score (out of 100) does most of the work. A Legendary at 96 starts well ahead of a Rare at 70.
  • Power and aura (1 to 20 each) can swing close fights by up to 38 points between two cards.
  • Luck is at most 9 points, so it decides only close battles.
  • Flex and age are for show. They do not count.

XP

The winner gets 40 XP and the loser 10, so turning up is always worth it. Nobody loses a card.

Picking the right card

  • You see the challenger's card before you answer, so add up its score, power and aura and compare.
  • If two of your cards have similar scores, pick the one with higher power plus aura.
  • If the gap is under 10 points either way, it is a coin toss. Enjoy it.

Battles need Stick League Pro, because both cards must be kept. More on the battles page.
